Just because the summer season is over doesn’t mean a day at the beach is out of the question. The Municipality of Ibiza Town organizes activities on Talamanca beach and Figueretas beach until December each Saturday and Sunday Between 10:30 and 1:30 p.m..
Called “The beach is always open” (La playa está abierta), there is a range of activities, which include both those on land and on the sea. Beach volleyball, handball and beach soccer and even a set of rugby-tag. Among the aquatic objects, you will find kayak and paddleboarding; there is a hybrid called ‘beach paddle‘also for those who want a bit of both.
It promises a great selection of things to do for lovers of sports and outdoor activities. It’s also a fun way to keep fit this winter for sports fans, away from the lockdown inside the gym.
The idea is to make beaches all year round into places of entertainment and activities beyond sunbathing and swimming in summer. It also aligns with the island’s government desire to demonstrate that Ibiza always has something going on regardless of the season.
Many families and groups of friends use Ibiza’s beaches in winter to come together for picnics, beach barbecues and long walks. It’s not uncommon to see mixed groups of people using the less crowded beaches here, all wrapped up to protect themselves from the chills.
Be sure to check out these activities and take advantage of the milder climate to get outside and enjoy the beauty of Ibiza’s golden sands while playing and relaxing.
