The 15th annual Newport Beach Restaurant Week will be served this season


Newport Beach Restaurant Week is back.

After suffering a delay announced in November, the city’s two-week celebration of local restaurants returns for its 15th iteration in the wake of past campaigns to encourage local corporate sponsorship in Newport Beach. The event usually takes place in January, but organizers said they decided to postpone it in response to the increase in the number of cases reported late last year.

At the time, Orange County was still in the purple category. Orange County is now one of the other counties in the Orange level, indicating moderate transmission. This expands indoor dining capacities to 50% or 200 people, whichever is less.

Dine at Newport Beach and the Newport Beach Restaurant Assn. local epicureans can look forward to prix fixe menus with specialty dishes, exclusive offers, and take-out options.

Organizers said last year’s Newport Beach Restaurant Week brought in an estimated combined total of $ 3.9 million for participating restaurants.

As of Tuesday afternoon, among the dozens of participating restaurants this year are 21 Oceanfront Restaurant, Canaletto Ristorante Veneto and Bungalow Restaurant.

New this year is the arrival of the NBRW Pass, a digital platform that brings together all the information on participating companies and their available offers and special menus once the event goes live this next Monday and continues until 2 may. A similar app was tested during the last Holiday Pass Campaigns in December and Catering Month in September.
